My First week of Ex'pression College for the Digital Arts

I am super excited to be attending this school! I'm not sure how I'm going to pay for it yet but that, friends, is another story.

About a few months ago I was thinking about what the heck I wanted to do with my life when I grew up and realized that I was in fact grown up and had no career to call my own. I kept thinking of odd jobs one could do and make money. Most however just didn't fit me. So I was stuck thinking about what to do with no clue as to what it should be. Then I watched "Avitar" for the second time and was marveling at the background and detail of the creatures and a light went off in my head. Animation! So I went home an googled animation and low and behold I had a few college selections to choose from with in driving range of me. SO I emailed all even some far and set off on open houses n tours.

Which brings me to this week, my first week, at Ex'pression! The school is awesome and the people seem great and helpful! Tom my Lecture teacher and Lab teacher is very knowledgeable. In Lab with three other students from class came up with ideas and created a short film idea which we have already started to script.

Its actually much more work and collaboration than I originally thought. But the short film will be super funny! We have to turn in our rough draft of the whole scrip which should be 4 to 8 pages long by wed! Doesn't give us much time! That's all of Monday and Tuesday! Super accelerated for sure!

Which brings me to paying for school and how impossible it seems... How do you get a job when you don't know when you will be needed to work on these projects at all sorts of crazy times? Blah... I'm going to talk to Tony my Fin Aid rep and see about applying for a Sally Mae loan... Hopefully it will work.

I sure am happy that I went to the open house on April 24th and signed up that same week after only having thought about even going to art school for a bit over a month! I had to apply for a scholarship by the 29th so I had to rush to get everything ready! What a rush! And here I am attending college! WOW!!!

Okay... enough with the blah blah blah background and I hope to figure out how to upload pictures n art, so maybe next post you can see some old stuff... I'm talking old stuff here.
